Welcome to Essential Wellness Counseling Center! I am so happy that you are here and I applaud you for taking the time to seek the support you need.
I am Nicole Benton, owner and lead therapist here at Essential Wellness. I pride myself on being a therapist for black millennial aged women like you, who are often feeling stuck in relationships, life, careers, or internally. I am a graduate of Clark Atlanta University with a BA in communication and a MS in Marriage and Family Therapy/Mental Health Counseling. I also hold a MA in Public Relations. I am the founder of The Dollhouse Foundation, a 501c3 organization that focuses on eliminating food insecurity for the homeless and underserved populations in Central Florida. I am a member of Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society, Delta Happy Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society, Central Florida Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a published author, community award winner, and was most recently nominated as one of the top 30 women alumna of Clark Atlanta University.
I am extremely passionate about mental health, particularly for black women. I am currently accepting new clients and would be honored to help guide you on your journey to a healthier version of you. I work primarily with women on depression, anxiety, trauma, confidence and self-esteem issues. I am currently offering Telehealth sessions in light of COVID-19.
